1949-79 Beetle Hood Seal

Please remember to select the appropriate hood seal for your car. The hood seals are available in both German and aftermarket varieties.

These seals are best installed with spray silicone for a lubricant. BFY does carry this product in our chemicals area. Once you spray the channel and hood seal down with the silicone. You can pull the hood seal taut, and then it will be just thin enough to fit into the groove. If you do install it this way, it will be far slower pulling it from one end to the other.
